Get ready to find a steal and help a community organization all in one go next weekend as the Polk County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a yard sale.

Donations are still being accepted at the Sheriff’s Office for the upcoming yard sale to raise money for the Toys Express program. While the program annually receives hundreds to thousands of toys for youth, they are hoping to increase the amount of cash on-hand this year to be able to cover other gifts that usually aren’t provided through donations.

Major Rachel Haddix at the Polk County Sheriff’s Office explained that a co-worker came up with the idea, and so the Sheriff’s Office got busy in organizing the upcoming event as a fundraiser.

The Nov. 16 Yard Sale is set to run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will be held at the Sheriff’s Office.
