Two jailed on drug charges remain in custody

A Cedartown man and woman remained in jail on drug charges after they were searched during a completely unrelated incident on Vine Street last week, per PCPD reports.

Police arrested Kimberly Louise Henry, 41, of a Cedartown address, was arrested first on Thursday, October 20 along with Brian Lee Guice, 42, on Thursday, October 20.

Per reports, police were investigating a report of illegal contraband found on Guice during a shoplifting incident on Vine Street.




Polk County and Cedartown Police got involved in the incident when another subject in the shoplifting incident was found with drug paraphernalia, and they asked to search Guice. He handed over his wallet and phone, and when officers looked thoroughly reported to find a bag of methamphetamine in his wallet.

Police detained him, and while searching further found a second bag of suspected methamphetamine.

While police were taking Guice into custody, Henry was reported to show up at the scene, and gave her name to officers. Police found out she had warrants for her arrested, and while being detained she was searched and they found suspected marijuana, methamphetamine and a pipe used to smoke meth.

Police took both into custody. Guice remained in jail on a $5,000 bond for the felony charge for possession of methamphetamine.

Henry was booked on multiple charges including possession of methamphetamine, possession of tools for the commission of a crime and possession of marijuana. She was also being held on multiple probation violation felonies. Her bond was set at $11,000 and she remained in custody as of this posting.
