Mark those calendars and make sure to stop by the Chick-fil-A of Cedartown for their opening day on Thursday!

The announcement came in this morning that with construction completed, team members hired and the store stocked, owner Kristen Brannon is ready to open the doors for the first time on March 30. Normal hours will be 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., but on opening day the first bite will be taken at 9:30 a.m.

The Rockmart-native was owner/operator of a Valdosta store in their mall before she got the opportunity to open the second Chick-fil-A in Polk County. She’s hired 115 staff members locally to man the restaurant six days a week, Monday through Saturday.

Chick-fil-A nationally is closed on Sunday, a longstanding tradition with the restaurant chain.

Additionally, with the new location opening, the corporate offices are donating $25,000 to Feeding America, and will be distributed locally to partners in the Cedartown area to fight hunger and help families in need.

Free Chick-fil-A is being given away for the year to “100 local heroes making an impact in Cedartown” and also taking part in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table initiative, which redirects local surplus food from the restaurant to soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need.

Brannon said that local organizations at One Door Polk got treated to some food today, and others will be enjoying Chick-fil-A over the next two days around the Cedartown area.

Construction on the new storefront began in October 2022 and wrapped up this month. The new location is found at 1610 Rome Hwy., Cedartown.

Polk Today has reached out to Brannon for more on hours and additional information. Check back for more as it becomes available.
