The Georgia Bureau of Investigation released additional details late this evening about the man found dead on Esom Hill Road on Tuesday morning.

Per officials from the GBI, after examining the remains they were able to determine that Lachancey Williams, 40, of Cedartown, was the man found inside the toolbox by members of the Public Works department working on Esom Hill Road at 9:40 a.m. on Tuesday morning, March 15.

The area where the body was found is the portion of the roadway between Highway 100 North and Prior Station Road west of Cedartown.

The GBI reports that the death remains under investigation, and have not released any further details.

Williams was transported as he was found to the crime lab for examination following the discovery of his remains on Tuesday.
