The hours continue to tick away, and there’s still no sign of Monisha Leath after she was last seen on Thursday, February 24.
Cedartown Police Chief Jamie Newsome said this morning that there have been no substantial updates to report over the weekend after local and state investigators put out a call for the public’s help to find Monisha Sharae Leath.
He additionally still had no information he could share at this time about exactly where Leath was headed when she was last seen near the Polk/Floyd County lines on February 24, and no description of her clothing at the time as well.
Leath, a 32-year-old black female, was last known to be in the area around 2 p.m. this past Thursday. She is five-foot-seven, 180 pounds and has a right nostril piercing and a tattoo on her left hand.
The GBI is asking for the public to be on the lookout for Leath or to provide any information they know about her whereabouts by immediately calling 1-800-597-8477 (TIPS), or report it anonymously at this GBI reporting link online.
Police did say over the weekend they do believe foul play is involved in her disappearance, but have not yet found any evidence to make an arrest.
Officials have not reported any information about any potential suspects at this time.
