Polk County officials are still waiting to hear back from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Crime Lab as to the identity of a woman who was found dead on Morgan Valley Road last week.
After the June 6 discovery of the remains in a ditch on Morgan Valley Road, the Polk County Police and Polk County Coroner’s Office are in a holding pattern on being able to move forward in their investigation until that positive ID is made.
