The Polk School District honored teachers from each campus during their 2020 Teacher of the Year Ceremony held in the HON Room of the Polk County College and Career Academy campus at Cedartown High School on Tuesday evening.
Rachel Truitt, who was also this year the Youngs Grove Elementary School Teacher of the Year, won the districtwide award this year. Congratulations to her, and check back in for more to come.
In an effort to honor all teachers this year who continue to serve students during what has been an incredibly difficult school year for all concerned, above is the entire 2020 Teacher of the Year ceremony.
Thanks to all teachers who have in past, continue in present and anyone willing to serve as an educator locally, across the country and around the world. Their service makes it possible for future generations to grow and prosper by providing a valuable service to youth.
Note: if you’re an educator, I’d like to hear from you. Would you consider shooting a 30 second video sharing what you’re thankful for this year? I’d like to do something special for Thanksgiving. E-mail submissions to kevin@polk.today.
