A first-time event for Rockmart High School allowed members of the Class of 2023 to come out and have some fun before the start of their final school year on Monday night.

Dozens of Rockmart seniors gathered for the event announced on Saturday that fed them a picnic-style dinner, and saw many creative designs drawn in chalk on the parking spots. The first-ever RHS Senior Year Kickoff on Monday night preceded the first day of school on Tuesday, August 2.

The event also provided seniors with the chance to enjoy a corn hole tournament, and to dunk RHS principal Dr. Bo Adams.
