An empty lot in front of a quiet building is (at least as far as anyone knows so far) is what’s left of Knucklehead Cafe in Rockmart.
The longtime restaurant that has been open on West Elm Street have apparently called it quits in what they posted on Facebook back on August 6 was a closing for a day due to a maintenance issue.
That posting read:
“Knuckleheads will unfortunately be closed today and next week week for maintenance issues. We are so sorry for the i convenience!”

Comments on the Facebook post indicate that the restaurant permanently closed, but no posting was online on their page to say whether that was the case.
An additional posting from a former employee also confirmed the news, along with city officials who noted that the restaurant has been closed since the second week of August and haven’t reopened.
Polk Today reached out to the Knucklehead Cafe Facebook Page via a message for more information on what’s happening. If they respond we will provide additional information about their status when it becomes available.
Knucklehead Cafe was one of several eateries in and around downtown Rockmart on the Elm Street corridor around Seaborn Jones Park and South Marble and Church Streets.
The motorcycle-themed eatery hosted a variety of events over the years from the WZOT Coaches Show during football season, to charity car and motorcycle shows and rides throughout the years.
