Wondering why there’s a bustle of building work happening in the old Coca-Cola Bottling plant in downtown Cedartown?
The fast answer is a repair is underway at the old building.
Owner Jamie Morris said that workers are replacing windows in a portion of the building right next door to the Polk County Standard Journal when sought for information this afternoon.

He had nothing else to add as of this posting.
It is the latest round of work to happen at the historic building, which has been used for many purposes over the years and shares space with the paper, Cedarstream and the Cedartown Museum of Coca-Cola Memorabilia. Cedarstream once used the property for t-shirt production alongside the building now home to the Polk County Extension Office.
The window was previously boarded up and painted black to match a doorway and garage door next to it.
