Workout Anytime in Rockmart got to celebrate with family and friends late last week more than a month after finally opening their doors after many years of work in August.
Owners William and Dorothea Baker opened the latest location of Workout Anytime in Rockmart back on August 19, but joined with the Polk County Chamber of Commerce on Friday for a ribbon cutting ceremony officially welcoming them to the business community locally.
The pair have worked for the past four years to bring the gym business to customers in Rockmart. The pair met in California after William – a former electrical line worker and inspector – met his wife Dorothea – a nurse – while working on the west coast.
They relocated back to the Atlanta area looking for new opportunities.
William Baker previously played basketball for Southern Polytechnic University.

The gym sports brand new equipment from treadmills to weight sets, plus massage chairs, a sauna and many more amenities meant to attract customers looking beyond just a place to get in a workout.
Additionally, they are open 24 hours a day and have locations all across the nation.
Workout Anytime is a franchise-based gym business with 197 locations across the country.
The Bakers added their thanks to the City of Rockmart for their assistance in helping bring Workout Anytime to Polk, and they also shared their love for their family and friends who provided support and guidance through their journey to bring the gym to fruition.
