An annual tradition in Cedartown continued this Sunday afternoon despite COVID-19 – utilizing a drive thru-style program this year – which included local leaders and honors for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The event included Cedartown City Commissioner and vice chair Matt Foster reading the annual proclamation, and State Rep. Trey Kelley providing greetings from the State House.
Events around the observance also included a book fair, a canned food and coat drive, and more.
The YWTSA (Youth Working Toward a “Speedy” Awareness) is a local non-profit that provides a variety of help to youth through peer volunteerism, including summer programs and the annual MLK event, among others.
